BBots Privacy Policy

BBots (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and delete your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”) across both Apple and Android platforms. Please read this policy carefully before using BBots.


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: When you register for BBots, we collect your name, email address, organization name, and a password.

  • Profile Details: You may optionally add job title, phone number, and a profile photo.

  • Support & Feedback: Any messages, attachments, or screenshots you send through in-app support or feedback forms.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: We log timestamps, feature usage (for example, task automation actions, chat messages), and performance metrics to help us improve the App.

  • Device Data: We collect your device model, operating system version, app version, unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS, Android Advertising ID on Android), and crash logs.

  • Analytics & Diagnostics: We use third-party analytics to understand overall app performance, feature engagement, and to identify areas for optimization.


2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide & Improve the App: Enable core functionality (task automation, messaging, add-on builder), troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing features.

  • Account Management: Authenticate you, send transactional emails (e.g., password resets, billing notices), and notify you of important updates.

  • Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries, process feedback, and provide technical assistance.

  • Analytics & Research: Analyze usage patterns to prioritize development efforts and optimize performance.

  • Legal Compliance & Security: Detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.


3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information under the following circumstances:

  1. Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party vendors (for hosting, analytics, email delivery, etc.) under strict confidentiality agreements. They only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their functions.

  2. Business Transfers: If BBots is acquired, merges with another company, or undergoes an asset sale, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before any such transfer occurs.

  3. Legal Requirements: We may disclose personal data if required by law, regulation, legal process (e.g., a court order or government request), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BBots, our users, or others.


4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize your data.


5. Your Rights & Choices

5.1 Access & Correction

You can review and update your account information at any time by going to Settings → Account within the App.

5.2 Opt-Out of Analytics

Within Settings → Privacy, you may opt out of certain analytics and diagnostic data collection. Please note that opting out may limit our ability to diagnose issues and improve the App.

5.3 Marketing Communications

If you receive promotional emails from BBots, you may unsubscribe by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any promotional email or by emailing [email protected].

5.4 Deleting Your Account

You have the right to request permanent deletion of your BBots account and all associated personal data. You may delete your account in one of two ways:

  1. Self-Service Deletion (In-App):

    • Open the BBots App.

    • Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account.

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm deletion.

    Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion. Please note that this action is irreversible—once completed, you will lose access to your account and any stored data.

  2. Request Deletion via Email:

    • Send a request to [email protected] with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”

    • Include the email address associated with your BBots account.

    We will reply within 5 business days to confirm receipt and initiate the deletion process. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days from the date of your request. If you change your mind during that 30-day window, you may email us again to cancel the request.


6. Children’s Privacy

BBots is intended for business users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from someone under 13, please contact us immediately at [email protected] so we can promptly delete that data.


7. Security Measures

We employ industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards (for example, encryption in transit and at rest, secured databases, access controls) to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. You can enhance your security by choosing a strong, unique password and storing it safely.


8. International Data Transfers

BBots servers are located in Canada. If you reside outside of Canada, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Whenever we transfer your data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (for example, standard contractual clauses) to comply with applicable data protection laws.


9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy.

  • Provide notice in the App or via email before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of BBots after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
